How is Paynovus affected by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”)?
The EU’s new data protection regulation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), will take effect on 25 May 2018.
GDPR entails, among other things, more stringent requirements for the collection, processing, and retention of personal data. The purpose of this is to protect and guarantee to respect your personal privacy, including by not having your personal data used to a greater extent than necessary.
New procedures and processes for secure management of registries will be required. The new data protection regulation will apply to all organizations and within industries that retain or in any way process personal data about their customers. Therefore this also applies to Paynovus.
